MASS MEDIA INTERESTS
Delivering various lectures and seminars in different areas of mass media, as well as being a guest in many programmes to various TV channels and Radio stations, together with being interviewed by newspapers and magazines. Moreover, he has distinguished contributions in different means of mass media as follows.
First: Journalism
Mr. Al Khamees has worked in journalism since 1989
- Publisher and Editor in Chief of a number newspapers and publications, e.g. (The Incident – The Other Opinion – Afrah Al Khaleej – Al Dar – The Mass Media Specialist)
- He published a good number of articles and reports in many publications allover the world
- He had a fixed column in the Kuwaiti “Awan” Newspaper, and the Egyptian “Al Misri Today” Newspaper
Second: Radio
- From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Al Khamees prepared and introduced a weekly radio programme in Kuwait Radio entitled (In my Life), through which he interviewed a selected cluster of the men of intellect, letter, politics and economy throughout the Arab World
- In 1997 he prepared and introduced a live broadcast weekly programme entitled (Here is Kuwait), through which he interviewed various figures of influence in the intellectual, cultural and social domains.
Third: Television
- In 1995 1997 he prepared and introduced a Kuwait T.V programme entitled (6/6)
- In 1996he prepared and introduced for Orbit T.V a programme entitled (Without a Controller)
Fourth: Conferences & Committees
Mr. Al Khamees participated in various local and regional conferences and seminars in the political, media, cultural and literary domains, together with delivering numerous lectures and seminars in different areas. Moreover, he participated in a number of research seminars.
- In 1995, he was member of the Media Committee of the International Captives Conference held in London by the national Committee for The Captives and Lost
- In 1997, he was member of the Supreme Committee for Preparing the Gulf Summit held in Kuwait
- In 1997, he was member of the Preparatory Committee representing Kuwait for participating in the United Nations ceremonies celebrating its Golden Jubilee
- In 1998, he was a lecturer in the Media & Economy Conference held in the headquarters of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development
- In 1999, he was Secretary General of Honouring Female Media Figures Conference held in Kuwait
- In 1999, he was General Supervisor of the Cultural Seminar organized by National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature, held in Kuwait within the framework of the Book Fair
- In 1999/2000/2001, he was Head of the Media & Cultural Committee of “Hala February” Festival held in Kuwait
- In 2003 up to date, he is Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum held on annual basis
- In 2007, he was member of the Arbitration Committee in the Media Business Competition distinguished in discussing women issues, organized by the Arab League
- He headed a lot of media and cultural committees and participated in numerous voluntary action

- 1994 – 2003: Head of the Media Office – Kuwait Air Ways
- 2000 – 2004: Executive Head of United Gulf Journalism & Media Services Group
- 2003 – 2005: Media Consultant of the Office of His Highness Prime Minister
- 2005: Head of Kuwait Society for Media & Communication (Philanthropic Society under establishment)
- 2003 – to date: Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum
